Ricoh to start making Toshiba copiers on 7/1/24?

Etria, a company controlled by Ricoh (15% ownership from Toshiba Tec), announced it will start manufacturing MFPs on July 1, 2024
The division, headquartered in Kanagawa, Japan, will apparently make both Ricoh and Toshiba branded MFPs
Apparently, the differentiation will be a unique print controller in Ricoh or Toshiba versions
- Toshiba hopes to reduce R&D expense by 30 billion yen
- “It is challenging to differentiate while seeking scale advantages...”; stated Ricoh CEO Akira Oyama
