BOULDER, CO--(Marketwire - Mar 13, 2013) - Ricoh Production Print Solutions (Ricoh), a leading provider of digital output solutions, today announced its line up for 2013 National Postal Forum (NPF), March 17-20 in San Francisco, CA. Attendees who visit Ricoh booth #836 can experience various mailroom solutions from the award-winning Ricoh ProcessDirector portfolio that are enabling customers to see cost-savings, increased efficiencies and compliance-driven output.

Mailers who handle critical communications are increasingly the subject of regulation, requiring end-to-end document tracking. But too often they are left without a complete solution, having to mix and match options from various vendors which can often be expensive and complicated. At NPF, Ricoh will address their needs with a complete, end-to-end portfolio that provides mailers with cost-effective and streamlined solutions.
Ricoh will conduct live demonstrations at NPF of service offerings that enable small, medium and large mailers to increase the integrity of each mail piece while delivering compliance-driven output. With these proven capabilities to improve address quality, sortation and integrity, mailers can feel more confident that their output will be delivered accurately and in a timely manner.

A centrepiece of the live demonstrations will be Mail Insight, an extended feature of Ricoh ProcessDirector workflow software which allows mailers to interface with the United States Postal Service (USPS) system and was recently installed at Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the nation's largest municipal utility. Mail Insight leverages Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMb) tracing, a USPS requirement to enable companies to receive status of a mail piece as it is processed by the USPS, tracking important information for vital decision making.
"Considering that this is such a critical a time for the postal industry, we've come to NPF with solutions that can help mailers of all sizes realize operational cost savings while increasing their efficiency," said Bill Shaffer, manager, worldwide software alliances for Ricoh. "Our portfolio -- including cloud-based, scalable solutions -- can be customized for mailers of all sizes. We look forward to showcasing these solutions, which combine more than 50 years of enterprise innovation and experience with production printing and workflow, in highly complex and multifaceted print environments."
At Ricoh booth 836 attendees will be able to see:

Ricoh ADF Essentials - available starting today via the cloud or as an on-premise offering, this enables mailers to streamline print operations and maintain high integration environments while implementing automated postal processing. ADF Essentials combines both the postal mail optimization and workflow features to help customers cost-effectively manage their mailrooms. Using the company's industry-leading ADF capabilities via Ricoh ProcessDirector, and the full range of postal optimization components, the offering provides a complete end-to-end solution.
At NPF, Ricoh will showcase ADF Essentials as a cloud-based offering. This offers small to mid-sized mailers the opportunity to operate workflow in a secure environment as a Software as a Service (SaaS), giving them access to the same proven solutions as companies with larger budgets.

Ricoh ProcessDirector - Ricoh will demonstrate advanced postal optimization functions built on the award-winning Ricoh ProcessDirector infrastructure. These features enable customers to improve tracking and reconciliation, maintain confidentiality and optimize the entire print-to-mail process and much more.

Ricoh's Office On-Ramp - this offering connects the enterprise's network of one-off, ad hoc document production with the enterprise's print production operation. With Ricoh's Office On-Ramp, the thousands of customer communication documents produced manually are now routed electronically to the ADF driven by Ricoh ProcessDirector. Upon arrival, ADF ensures that these documents can be pooled, updated, corrected, commingled, postal sorted and efficiently printed. Once through the printing and mail processes, the documents can also flow to existing archives for retention, downstream access or audit function. For large enterprises, this offering helps lower print and postal costs, reduce operational costs, ensure consistent and compliant communications, and leverage existing production print facilities.

In addition to the demos at the booth, Ricoh executives will also be leading two speaking sessions at NPF: "Analytics: The Right Message to the Right Customer," and "IMb: Getting to IMb and Confirmed Delivery." And for attendees looking to learn more, Ricoh business process solution experts will be available for custom consultation each day.
