2006
CHICAGO, October 16, 2006 — Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today announced that its high volume HQ9000 Priport digital duplicator will be featured during Graph Expo 2006 being held at McCormick Place in Chicago from October 15-18, 2006. Located at booth #3274, Ricoh will be demonstrating the speed and quality production capabilities of the HQ9000 Priport, which will be equipped with Ricoh SeriPrinter model 25 and a TC-IIR Digital Production Printer.
First introduced in May, the HQ9000 Priport offers print speeds as fast as 135 pages per minute (ppm) and professional quality resolution of 600 dots per inch (dpi). In addition, the HQ9000 Priport is able to create prints on 8” x 11” documents, 4" x 6" postcards, 11" x 17" newsletter stock, as well as envelopes, vellum and NCR (No Carbon Required) paper, allowing the in-house production of an array of business and marketing materials.
The TC-IIR Digital Production Printer can be integrated with the HQ9000 Priport to save time and cut costs on multicolor jobs by printing two colors in one pass. When paired with the Ricoh SeriPrinter Model 25, HQ9000 Priport production quality is also further enhanced with instantaneous ink drying capabilities.
Besides providing superior print production capabilities, the HQ9000 Priport also keeps total cost of ownership (TCO) at an affordable level. This benefit is made possible by the HQ9000 Priport’s ability to use less ink than a high-speed copier as well as its highly reliable architecture, which keeps maintenance calls to a minimum. Additionally, power consumption is also reduced through a series of cost-saving technologies, including auto shut-off mode that switches power off during pauses, energy-saver mode that cuts power 85 percent during printing lulls, and economy mode.
Understanding the amount of time allocated to systems management, Ricoh has made several utilities – Web Image Monitor, SmartDeviceMonitor and DeskTop Binder – available with the HQ9000 Priport to expedite as well as improve the process for both the users and IT managers. As for network installation, the HQ9000 Priport can connect with any standalone computer or networked operating system with a standard embedded computer interface and has an optional wireless adapter to simplify the procedure. Also, an optional PostScript® 3 driver provides industry standard output and MAC compatibility. The Ricoh HQ9000 Priport is available at the starting suggested retail price of $18,605.00.
