Ricoh Corporation unveils new "Technology Portal" super showroom in Manhattan


New York, NJ, December 16, 2002- Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable DigitalTM output company,today unveiled an innovative new showroom called "Ricoh's Technology Portal" featuring all of Ricoh's cutting edge office equipment and software solutions.

The Showroom, located at 510 Fifth Avenue (at 43rd Street) in Mid-town, Manhattan, is designed as a fully networked business environment that depicts typical customer workflow with the various Ricoh solutions designed to meet these requirements through four distinct sections of the showroom floor: Workgroup, Production, Enterprise and Professional Services.

Ricoh President & CEO Kirk Yoshida, and Executive Vice President Jim Ivy officiated at today's opening.

"In business, Ricoh acknowledges that effective communication is the key ingredient to success," Yoshida said as he welcomed guests. "This new Technology Portal will show how Ricoh provides technology that can help people share ideas more effectively, so great things can happen."

"Ricoh created the Technology Portal to provide its customers with one location to demonstrate hardware and software solutions that will directly impact their bottom-line," added Ivy. "It is our belief that the relationship is the most important ingredient to a successful partnership and it is here, at the Ricoh Technology Portal, that we will cultivate our customers' business."

Among the Showroom's customer-friendly features is a state-of-the art conference room, with teleconferencing capabilities that can connect engineers with Ricoh's customers to actually develop products on-site.

The Showroom also includes an environmental station, which educates visitors on Ricoh's commitment to the environment.
