Ricoh published more details on new color Print Production System
Will soon ship the new Pro C9500 series of color laser production print systems
- Replaces the C9200 and C9210 series
- Pro C9500 base model offers 115ppm top speed with MSRP of $241,895
- Can upgrade the speed with optional “Productivity Upgrade Kit” to 135ppm, but MSRP on this option not yet announced
- 4 tandem OPC drum design
- Beige and dark grey plastic exterior
- New features include:
- New GC OS print controller
- Redesigned interface with 21.5” color LCD touchscreen control panel
- Automated color diagnosis
- Improved media handling up to 470gsm
- Media length up to 1260mm
- Improved paper transfer unit for better front to back registration
- New advanced fusing section
- Additional finishing options such as:
- GBC StreamPunch Plus
- Plockmatic Crease Trimmer
- Also gave out a couple of more details on soon to launch Pro Z75 production color inkjet sheet fed system
- Handles B2 size sheets maximum
- Auto duplex standard
- Top speed of 4500iph (2,250 duplex sheets per hour)
- Water based inks
- Uses Ricoh Gen 5 inkjet printheads
- Water-cooled system
- EFI Fiery print server
- “swing and shift” registration system
- 1200x1200dpi
- Handles offset coated media
- Optional under coater
- Handles media as light as 60gsm
- Handles board stock up to 600 microns for packaging applications
- Initial model will be CMYK, but future models will offer up to 2 more colors
- Has beta unit running at Heeter Printing in Canonsburg, PA
- Plans to install 4 units in Europe by end of 2023
- No current plans to make a B1 size model
