Ricoh Pro C901 to print North Print 'Daily' live
FULL STORY
Ricoh UK has confirmed it will be printing the 'Daily' news bulletin at North Print & Pack 2013. All three editions of the Daily will be printed on the Ricoh stand each day using the recently launched Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts + with FS100 RIP, which is available in the UK this summer.
Said Gareth Parker, strategic marketing manager at Ricoh UK, ‘We're very excited to be appointed to produce this year’s North Print and Pack Daily. We'll be working hard with Informa, the show organisers, and the Daily's editorial team throughout the course of the show to ensure the production quality of the news bulletin reflects the highest quality editorial content within. And, printing it on the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts + machine will give us a great opportunity to show all visitors for the first time just how well this machine responds to the pressures a demanding production environment requires.’
Ricoh will also be using North Print and Pack for the first public showing of its Carbon Balanced Printing Programme, which is available to all Ricoh customers, and has now also been integrated as a module into the company's Business Driver Programme. A video case study of Ricoh customer, CrossPrint - one of the early adopters of the Carbon Balanced Printing Programme in the UK, will be played throughout the show. It will demonstrate how the recent implementation of Ricoh's Carbon Balanced Printing Programme has positivity impacted on it and transformed its business.
Continued Parker, ‘North Print & Pack will give Ricoh a great platform to introduce our carbon balancing programme which is fast becoming a critical and increasingly popular component of our Business Driver Programme for customers. The Carbon Balanced Printing Programme module contains a range of highly specialised tools that enable a Ricoh customer to comprehensively assess their operation and then work towards a building a more sustainable carbon-balanced print business.
‘As CrossPrint will demonstrate in the video case study, “going green” today doesn't have to be a cost, although this is unfortunately still the prevailing perception. However, the fact is that when actioned with a sound business and operational strategy behind it, going green can actually greatly enhance a business' commercial and environmental credentials.’
Ricoh will also be using the show to showcase a recently published Jaguar Speedster booklet, produced at its Telford manufacturing facility, which will demonstrate to visitors short run digital print, finishing and intelligent personalisation at its very best. Over 100 copies of this exclusive publication will be available for visitors to the stand.
In addition to the Pro C901+, Ricoh will have a Pro C751, a Pro 1357 high volume black & white press and the company's new colour wide format solution for CAD environments, the MP CW2200SP, on the stand, as well as a range of new software products from its growing TotalFlow workflow portfolio including Barr EOM, TotalFlow Print Manager and Make Ready and Marcomms Central from PTI Technologies.
Finally, Ricoh will be joined at the show once again by a selection of industry partners including Morgana and Objectif Lune, Pentax and Ricoh's IT Services (ITS) division. All Ricoh VIPs at the show will also be invited to visit the North Print & Pack Knowledge Centre which will include a range of free seminars case studies, advice clinics and onsite training to inspire and educate.
