WEST CALDWELL, NJ, June 14 - Ricoh Corporation (Website), the leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced a new color printer series designed for the desktop color market. The new products include Ricoh's Aficio® CL1000N, Aficio CL2000/CL2000N and the Aficio CL3000e. This new suite of color printers expands Ricoh's printer offerings to meet user's needs.

In today's work environment, users are printing all types of documents such as e-mails, information from the Internet, reference materials, internal documents, among others. These documents are often printed in black and white to save on the cost of printing. However, when it comes time to print special projects, presentation materials, or critical documents it is key to have the capability to print in color. Ricoh's new suite of desktop color printers allow users to print in color for vital documents, giving businesses and individual users a competitive advantage at minimal investment.

"Ricoh's new suite of desktop color printers help set a new standard for business by allowing users to produce professional quality documents in a reduced timeframe," said Hede Nonaka, vice president of marketing for Ricoh Corporation. "The CL1000N, CL2000/CL2000N and the CL3000e exemplify how Ricoh provides seamless document management solutions that enable users to work smarter and stay ahead of the competition in today's demanding business world."

Ricoh's Aficio CL1000N, Aficio CL2000/CL2000N and the Aficio CL3000e are all equipped with Web Image Monitor and SmartDeviceMonitor. By entering the printer's address in their web browser, Aficio printer users can remotely obtain detailed information regarding their printer. With Ricoh SmartDeviceMonitor, those users that have access to multiple printers can monitor the printer's status, resend and redirect documents right from their PC. And Ricoh SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin provides even more remote printer maintenance and administration for the IT professional.

The Aficio CL1000N
At 31 prints per minute (ppm) in black & white, the Aficio CL1000N has the monochrome speed usually found in higher priced mid-range network printers. And when combined with a color output of 8 ppm, the Aficio CL1000N is ideal for small to mid-size businesses.

The Aficio CL1000N also supports a variety of paper types and stocks including envelopes, transparencies, labels, and thick covers up to 55lb. bond, right from the standard paper tray. Users that combine optional duplex printing at virtually the same speed of simplex printing will spend less time and money outsourcing important print jobs.

Aficio CL2000/CL2000N
The Aficio CL2000, for individual use, and the CL2000N, for busy workgroups, combine high-speed, high-quality color and black and white in one compact, affordable unit. The Aficio CL2000/CL2000N were designed to produce high quality business documents on multiple paper types, including plain, thick and glossy stocks. Labels, transparencies and envelopes also feed and print with ease. The Aficio CL2000/CL2000N's flexible paper handling and seamless networking provides the versatility that not only reduces costly outsourcing fees, but also allows users to print what they want on demand.

With optional IEEE 802.11b and Bluetooth wireless capability, users are able to reconfigure office space as needs-not wires-dictate. In addition, with its compact footprint, the Aficio CL2000/2000N is a perfect fit for any office environment.

The Aficio CL3000e delivers brilliant, high-speed color and black and white documents from one compact and versatile unit. It offers powerful network capabilities and has a low cost of operation, making it ideal for demanding business graphic workgroups. The CL3000e is not only designed to help the user meet critical deadlines, but to meet deadlines with professional quality documents.

The CL3000e is intuitive and keeps the document production process flowing by automatically searching for another tray that contains the same size and direction of paper. By utilizing an induction heating technology, the first print takes less than 15.5 seconds, which is one of the shortest warm-up times of any printer in its class. Additionally, due to the extremely fast start-up and cool-down times of the CL3000e, power consumption is drastically reduced.
