Ricoh Plans To Layoff 70 In Portland

The Japanese printer and copier company, Ricoh told the state Friday that it will be laying off 70 people in Portland.

In a letter to the state department of 'Community Colleges and Workforce Development,' the company says it's planning to "integrate certain of its business units."

The layoffs are scheduled to begin at the end of July and include sales staff, billing staff, service workers and administrative workers.

Ricoh didn't immediately respond to OPB's calls for comment.
