Ricoh partners with award-winning Australian software developers

A collaboration between Japan’s Ricoh Group and Australian software developers, BNS Group, has been rewarded for delivering cutting-edge technology innovation and providing leadership in Australia’s ICT industry.

The companies’ new fax solution which, for the first time, allows government departments to send unclassified faxes from multi-function devices (MDFs), recently achieved an iAward for ICT innovation in the Australian Capital Territory.

The technology, utilising Ricoh’s MFDs and fax software developed in Australia, is a particularly significant innovation for Government departments whose IT policies have not allowed MFDs to send or receive unclassified faxes.

The new solution means departments in Australian and overseas can now use Ricoh devices to consolidate printing, copying, scanning and faxing without compromising their IT security.

The General Manager Business Solutions and Production for Ricoh Australia, Kathy Wilson, said Ricoh is proud to have partnered with an Australian company to develop this award-winning technology.

“This solution provides increased security, audit accuracy and reduces the need for stand-alone faxes, which can be a source of information leaks and data spillages.

“Partnering with companies such as BNS is an example of our commitment to investing in innovation in Australia…we look forward to continued success together,” said Ms Wilson.
