Assistance needed please.
I have a large client where we just placed a used MPC6501 within their marketing department and the print quality is not as expected.
They had been using  Canon color unit (6185) and it was the last odd brand within the company. We have them on a cpc agreement company wide and had a really good off lease 6501 that I felt would handle the work.
They are using Adobe illustrator and indesign to create their posters and fliers and will print directly from those programs as well as convert to PDF and print.
The 6501 has a PS3 card but not a fiery.
Anything with photos is just a little blurry and not sharp like it was on the Canon and appear to have a slight blue tint. Also the black/ gray appears to have the same bluish tint.
I have other Ricoh color MFP'S printing in similar environments with only PS3 options and the quality is good.
Any suggestions as to what settings should be changed within illustrator and indesign or when printing with the PS driver to affect the quality.
The customer is using both MAC and PC'S with the MAC being version 10.6 and the PC'S are W7.
The Canon was equipped with a fiery so don't know how much difference that makes.
Again, I have other Ricoh's without fiery that are producing nice output.
I would love to speak to anyone directly that could help. My cell # is 352-665-0168
I am on the hot seat with this one.

I can't speak to anything regarding specific applications, but the C6501 is a different animal than other Ricoh color MFPs.  It had known output quality & reliability issues from the beginning that Ricoh was slow to fix.  By the time they finally came out with modifications to somewhat alleviate these issues, it was too late for many customers.  At a certain point several years in, many dealers stopped selling this model, even if they had remaining new inventory in their showroom or warehouse.  It was that bad.  I only had 2 in the field that didn't demand replacement of this model with something else. One is in an office with little color volume, & the other has a Fiery.  I wouldn't even think of selling one of these used.
