A proposal written on in a "word" document or a piece of paper is worthless. Have the customer get everything in writing on a sales contract and or lease.

Once you read the fine print, you will see that there are safe guards that are put in place for toner yields on cost per page, along additional money to connect additional pc's and in my area they have a fuel surcharge.

Ask the your chiropractor if he would like to pay more now or later. Because it will be later.

I fight the same battles here in NJ, and all I ask of the customer is that they show me a written contract, from there I can consult with the customer over the fine print in the document.

thanks art I will make sure and look over the fine print. It was going to be my strategy to consult them on pay now or later, I mean who the heck can really effectively maintain a color unit for .0048 plus free color(500) also nothing is explained on the quote they have so i would have to say they (offering dealer) are hiding a lot...

Please post the quote or email me it too me, I can delete the customer information. We have people from Corp on the site and they'd love to see this and I'm sure something will come of it.

As of right now all of the manufacturers have strained relationships with dealers.

We can do the $ 4,000 sell price if we want to take a short deal. But no way can we match the service cost.

just wanted to update this, havnt had a chance to scan proposals in yet..

ricoh usa offered: mp c2050 w/cab,fns $5350.00 service was $.0162 b/w .1054 color ouch...

other dealer was: $5391.00 w/2x500,fns service $.009 b/w .075 color

anyways didnt matter i helped customer make informed decision and because of that they allowed me last opportunity to match price and get deal. but when i have opportunity i will upload images.
