Ricoh launches colour laser printers with low total cost of ownership: Ricoh SP C252DN / SP C252SF MFP

Amstelveen, April 2014, Ricoh Europe (Netherlands BV) has introduced a new series of desktop A4 colour laser printers that combine a low total cost of ownership (TCO) with advanced features such as wireless printing from smartphones and tablet computers. The Ricoh SP C252DN printer and SP C252SF MFP are highly productive, with colour print speeds of up to 20 pages per minute.  Automatic double-sided printing as well as wired and wireless network connectivity and USB 2.0 are standard.

The Ricoh SP C252DN printer and SP C252SF MFP bring productive colour laser printing to small businesses and busy workgroups. They produce high quality 2400 x 600dpi colour and B/W output and a first print in 14 seconds. User friendly PCL & PS print drivers offer users an easy one click operation, along with advanced features such as electronic sorting and booklet printing, without slowing down their network or PC. 

As an additional extra the SP C252SF MFP can add colour copying, colour network scanning and colour fax, giving workgroups a complete document creation and distribution facility in one compact footprint. 

Furthermore, built-in WiFi gives organisations more flexibility in the positioning of devices and enables users to print from anywhere. The free Ricoh Smart Print & Scan app adds the ability to print from (and scan to) smartphones and tablets to enhance the productivity of mobile workers.

The Ricoh SP C252DN printer and SP C252SF MFP come with a series features to help organisations reduce printer TCO and their carbon footprint. The automatic double-sided printing function enhances the appearance of documents and reduces paper consumption, while a toner-saving Economy Colour mode extends the life of consumables. Energy Star accreditation and a TEC rating of just 1.6kWh (both models) keep power consumption low. Additional savings can be made by using optional @Remote software to monitor and control print activity and eliminate wasteful printing practices.

The design of the devices reduces TCO further as Ricoh has used longer-lasting components to extend the life of the printers to 65,000 pages, double that of other Ricoh devices at this level, so even the biggest peaks can be handled effortlessly.
