Common Access Card (CAC)
As the list of federal security technology mandates continues to grow, so do the demands on valuable internal IT resources. Among the immediate technology requirements is the Common Access Card (CAC) enablement of daily office tasks such as copying, printing, and scanning. In addition to installing CAC readers at critical points of network access such as at workstations and office equipment consoles, the equipment also needs to be reconfigured to incorporate CAC-related software – a time consuming task that can create unnecessary downtime and pull IT resources away from the daily tasks that keep things running in your agency. eCopy Professional Services (ePS) can help you comply with its eCopy CAC enablement service. ePS offers a proven process to CAC-enable your eCopy ScanStation, delivering efficient installation with minimized network and office equipment downtime. eCopy training for your employees is also available from ePS to jump start user adoption of CAC-enabled scanning in your agency.
eCopy CAC configuration software currently supports secure Scan to Desktop, Scan and Mail (MS Exchange), Scan to Microsoft SharePoint, Scan to Captaris RightFax, and Quick Connect functionality.

eCopy Professional Service’s CAC-enabled scanning service is a two phase process that requires minimal resources from your organization. Prior to the arrival of the eCopy Professional Services team, the following must be completed:
• Acquisition and installation of the following hardware and software:
o A standard CAC Reader––
o USB Middleware (e.g. NetSign, Activecard)––
o Tumbleweed client software––
o Microsoft Outlook client and server software––
• Verification of the installation and operability of the hardware and software listed above
