RICOH INTRODUCES NEW AFICIO MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/MP C400SR COLOR DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEM

West Caldwell, NJ, January 12, 2011 - Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment and advanced document management solutions and services, today announced the availability of the Aficio MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/ MP C400SR Color Digital Imaging System. This new letter-size (8.5”x11”)/A4 Series provides a small footprint with tools and capabilities that maximize efficiency, lower total cost of ownership, and make it ideal for smaller workspaces.
The Aficio MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/MP C400SR maximizes efficiency with intuitive controls and well-engineered features, including the ability to produce high-resolution documents, fast page-per-minute (ppm) output speed, large internal finisher capacity and memory space. The Series continues in Ricoh’s tradition of manufacturing environmentally-friendly products with energy- and supply-saving features.

Productivity
The Aficio MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/MP C400SR produces documents with resolutions up to 1200 dpi at 32 or 42 ppm and houses a standard 160GB hard disk drive. An efficient 250-sheet internal finisher standard on the MP C300SR/C400SR and standard duplexing add to its productivity, while the standard Document Server stores up to 3,000 documents that can easily be found, retrieved and shared. A maximum 2,300-sheet paper capacity reduces the amount of trips to replenish paper with an ample supply, up to 120 lb. Index. The product also features a standard 100-sheet bypass tray which handles a wide variety of papers and sizes, including up to 49.6” banners and 140lb. Index.
Document Management Solutions can be controlled through an easy-to-maneuver 8.5” color touch panel display, which can adjust to a comfortable position for all users. The touch panel allows users to conveniently Scan-to-Email without adding any additional software or hardware. Users can also reduce network traffic by using Scan-to-FTP to upload a variety of business documents. Standard Print From/Scan To Media which support JPEG, TIFF and PDF formats allow for mobile users to easily output and capture documents without connecting to the network. GlobalScan NX is offered as an option, as well as HotSpot MFP technology which allows for printing securely from a handheld device or smartphone.
Security
The Aficio MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/MP C400SR Color Digital Imaging System offers advanced security features, including the standard DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS), which safeguards data by overwriting the hard drive after every job. In addition, Standard Hard Disk Drive Encryption further protects against hackers by encrypting documents stored on the hard drive. The Series protects against unauthorized viewing of confidential documents with encrypted PDF transmission, when enabled and using Scan-to-Email and Scan-to-Folder. Scan-to-Webmail makes both log-in and IPP passwords difficult to compromise.
System Management
The Aficio MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/MP C400SR features User Account Limits, which allows companies to track costs and reinforce economical supply usage by assigning amounts of output or color usage-per group or individual. This function helps to manage output, while keeping supply cost low and highly predictable.
Sustainability
Continuing Ricoh’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the Aficio MP C300/MP C300SR/MP C400/MP C400SR Series features standard duplexing and combined print/copy modes to help lower paper consumption. These models also boast low Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) values, meeting the US EPA ENERGY STAR Imaging Equipment Program’s current specification (ver. 1.2) with wide margins. In the same manner as other Ricoh models, the Series offers low noise levels, and minimized pollutant impact on indoor air quality, meeting Germany’s Blue Angel Standard. The Series also meets the requirements of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive.
