Ricoh Demonstrates How to Continue to Optimize a Seamless Document Workflow

New York City, March 08, 2004 — Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, will be demonstrating multiple products and solutions that help manage and optimize the document workflow of any organization at AIIM/On Demand 2004.
Ricoh will be exhibiting at AIIM/On Demand 2004 from March 8-10, at booth #2800 in the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Some products and solutions that will be featured include:

· Aficio® 1075 – The Aficio 1075 offers complete scanning and document management functionalities plus a host of finishing capabilities that ensure seamless, uninterrupted workflow and full productivity at 75 pages per minute. The Aficio 1075 meets the needs of today's networked offices, central reprographics departments, and print-on-demand environments.

· Aficio 2105 – Built to support work-intensive walk-up environments, networked corporate workgroups, central reprographics departments or print-for-pay operations, the Aficio 2105 easily handles copy/print runs at 105 pages per minute. The Aficio 2105 will feature the GBC StreamPunch™, one of the world’s first interchangeable die punch for high-volume multifunction systems that operates at ideal speeds for corporate and production environments. Additional workflow initiatives on display with the Aficio 2105 are the Fiery EB-105EX high volume performance controller and the new BF90 Book Folder that provides new performance finishing capabilities.

· Aficio 6513 – The versatile and cost-effective Aficio 6513 is a Complete Color Digital Imaging System that is designed for environments with medium to high copying volume. The Aficio 6513 is ideal for general business offices, corporate offices, and print-for-pay sites.

· Aficio 470W – An advanced-design, wide-format digital imaging system, the Aficio 470W puts the focus on productivity and simplicity. Important features include a simple to use touch screen control panel, extensive image editing, and an optional hard disk drive that supports expanded collation, stamping, and image overlay. This product can also be upgraded to a printer with extensive print drivers by adding the optional RW-470 Print Controller. By adding the Scan Option, the Aficio 470W can scan to edit, to file, to archive, to PDF, and to multi-page images.

· CL7000 - The CL7000 is an extremely versatile printer that is designed to satisfy multiple users in environments ranging from small workgroups to multinational corporations. It enables users to share information and collaborate for maximum impact at an incomparable price.

· CL3000 – An affordable and accessible option for color, the CL3000 also has a black and white printing speed of 21 pages per minute. Additionally, the CL3000 offers the performance of a workgroup printer in the same footprint as a desktop.

· IS450DE – A high-speed scanner that is capable of scanning double-sided documents in a single operation when fed through the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder).

· Priport JP8500 – Delivers professional output onto virtually any paper, in any color, at 120 pages per minute—bringing a new dimension in image quality, document processing productivity, and convenience to any high-production environment.

· GlobalScanTM – Serves as a digital document routing system that accepts scanned documents and creates files for electronic transmission over the network as an attached email all from the operation panel on any Ricoh Aficio multifunction product. GlobalScan acts as an on-ramp, attaching to many knowledge and content management systems capturing key data associated with scanned documents.

· DocumentMall – Allows for secure Internet access to documents allowing corporations and small businesses round-the-clock access to document management and storage for improved workflow and collaboration efficiency.

· eCabinet – The intelligent electronic file cabinet is the ideal in-house system for managing files electronically. eCabinet automatically archives any file type from networked peripherals like scanners, copiers, printers, fax machines, and PCs (including Web and email), retrieving them from the desktop in seconds through a convenient Web browser.

· MicroPress X Series – A family of powerful document workflow solutions that are capable of maximizing return on investment, are scalable and optimized for growth, versatile enough to handle a broad range of requirements, and capable of unmatched productivity. At AIIM/On Demand, the Aficio 1075 and the Aficio 6513 will be connected to the MicroPress Server demonstrating Intelligent Color Splitting and additional workflow features.

· PrintCabinet – A turnkey appliance that manages network printing, copy costs, and security. PrintCabinet seamlessly integrates into the document workflow and ensures that the printing experience is cost-effective, productive, and secure.

· BrightQTM – BrightQ was developed exclusively for the UNIX and Linux operating systems and supplies system administrators, IT support personnel, printer support personnel, and anybody who prints via UNIX and Linux, with an easy-to-use, graphically rich, printing environment. This dynamic printing suite is available for nearly all Ricoh monochrome and color printers and multifunction products.

· ScanRouterTM V2 Professional – An easy-to-use software package that serves as a digital document delivery system. It enables Aficio multifunction products to scan documents such as photos, schematics and hand-written reports. It creates electronic files that can then be transmitted electronically through the network. It also functions as a network scanner and electronic inbound fax routing system.

· SeriPrinter Model 25 – Enhances the performance of existing digital duplicators by coupling with any existing 600 dpi or 400 dpi digital duplicator. Users immediately benefit from high-volume production with quality printing in full color or standard spot colors.

· SmartDeviceMonitor – A dynamic suite of utility software that simplifies all aspects of installation, monitoring, and management of Aficio network output systems. SmartDeviceMonitor tells you precisely what printers are available, how they are configured, and the toner and paper levels.
