Ricoh has two more security issues
- Ricoh sent out bulleting regarding a “Heap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability” in most of its MFPs
- `Could allow a hacker to “perform an out of bounds memory write” with malware
- Models impacted include; IM C6500, C8000, C6000, C5500, C4500, C3500, C3000, C2500, C2000 as well as b/w versions of these MFPs
- “currently under investigation” with fix promised soon
- RedPacket Security announced it has discovered a vulnerability that could allow a hacker “to obtain sensitive information, caused by improper access control”
- `Could “launch further attacks against the affected systems”
