Ricoh Corp.
Press Release
Ricoh Americas Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, announced today that CIMA Software Corporation, Inc., recently passed the Compatibility Testing offered by the Ricoh Developer Program for their enterprise content management system, DocuClass. CIMA’s DocuClass MFP Link is the gateway to the entire DocuClass suite of components seamlessly embedded in Ricoh’s multifunction products (MFPs) through the use of Ricoh’s Embedded Software Architecture (ESA). Additionally, CIMA has joined the Ricoh Technology Alliance Program as a bronze member.
CIMA developed the DocuClass MFP Link software specifically for Ricoh Java capable MFPs to enable customers to reap the benefits of a combined, cost-effective, “process-oriented” document management solution that will streamline the capture, management, access and distribution of information. Using the latest Ricoh Java / Software Developer Kit (SDK) technology, the MFP Link makes DocuClass accessible right from the MFP control panel. To help improve the management of information being shared across devices and offices, DocuClass MFP Link can be connected to multiple MFPs though the local or wide area-network as well as the Internet.
“CIMA Software Corporation is committed to bringing world-class document management solutions to the marketplace, and being a Premier Plus member in the Ricoh Developer Program has played a big part in helping us deliver on this promise,” said Nelson Cano, vice president, Sales and Marketing, CIMA Software Corporation, Inc. “We are excited about our admission into the Ricoh Technology Alliance Program as this is a great honor and we look forward to continuing our work with this innovative organization.”
As CIMA’s signature document management solution, DocuClass is a robust, and user-friendly system for both operational office staff and the information technology department. For users, it features an intuitive graphical interface that allows easy navigation through complex tasks. Since DocuClass is a scalable solution, companies have the ability to start at any level they choose and grow as their needs dictate.
“For three years now, CIMA Software has been a significant contributor to the advancement of document management solutions in the Ricoh Developer Program,” said Hede Nonaka, executive vice president, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “Ricoh is confident that welcoming CIMA into our Technology Alliance Program will benefit our customers and the industry as a whole.”
