Ricoh devices have another security issue
Announced that some of its A4 printers and MFPs are impacted by the recently
discovered NAME:WRECK security vulnerabilities
- Could allow a remote hacker to trigger an information leak
- Relates to issue with third party software that Ricoh uses to manage the TCP/IP stack in the devices
- Ricoh warns that if not addressed:
o Device stall
o Memory destruction
o Network failure
o Information leak
o Springboard attacks
- Plans on releasing a firmware fix in near future
