Ricoh USA Inc. is laying off 77 employees at its West Caldwell facility in June, according to a WARN notice filed with the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
The cuts are part of nationwide changes at the Pennsylvania-based company, the U.S. arm of Japan-based Ricoh Co. Ltd.
“Ricoh employs more than 26,000 people within the U.S.,” a spokesperson told NJBIZ. “While some roles are being eliminated — a small percentage nationally — others are being created. This was a difficult, but necessary decision, made to more effectively address our customers’ evolving buying patterns.”
According to the notice, employees effected as of June 2 include technical servicing and customer administration workers, as well as sales and sales management staff. read the rest here
