Ricoh AP 206 change fuser

I keep geting a change fuser message on a Ricoh AP206 color printer, i have tried 2 new fusers but still no change, does anyone know if there is a code to enter or is this a problem elsewhere in the machine? any help would be greatly appreciated

It is not an auto reset.
Menu>maint>reinstall>fuser>#

I was told by a ricoh tech at Ricoh support that this message is generated on the board after so many print cycles and you need to do some button pushing on the power up cycle does anyone know this sequence as Ricoh wants to charge me a fortune to look at this printer?
