One of Telford's biggest manufacturers has said it is preparing to cut jobs.
Ricoh, which employs about 800 people at its Priorslee factory, said it was offering voluntary redundancy to office and administrative staff.
Director Rod Baggott said the company, which makes printers and photocopiers, expected to know how many jobs would be cut within the next fortnight.
Mr Baggott added that staff working on the production line and in warehouses would not be affected.
The Japanese-owned factory was one of the first to move into Telford new town in 1987.
Mr Baggott said: "We had quite a good year last year, we grew the business, and the impact of the tsunami [in Japan] on the supply chain was quite minimal for us.
"But Ricoh as a group has suffered quite a lot because of the floods and tsunami."
Last year, Shiro Kondo, president and chief executive of the Ricoh Group, announced plans to cut its global workforce by 10,000.
