Open Text and Ricoh Offer Integration
Friday, March 21, 2003
Open Text Corporation, provider of Livelink, collaboration and knowledge
management software for the enterprise, and Ricoh Corporation, the
Dependable Digital output company, have announced an integration that will
link a company's knowledge repository in Livelink to Ricoh devices across
an enterprise. The solution is designed to improve knowledge sharing and
information access for customers, and provide another way companies can
feed information in to their knowledge management systems. As part of their
efforts to offer the software integration, the companies also announced
that Ricoh, and subsidiaries Lanier, Savin, and Gestetner, have joined Open
Text's Affinity Partner Program. The integration between Ricoh's Global
Scan software and Livelink will allow users to navigate information in a
Livelink knowledge repository via a touch screen on Ricoh Multifunction
Products, which print, scan, copy, and fax documents. Users will be able to
send documents from the Livelink repository to a networked Ricoh device for
printing, copying, or fax. They will also be able to scan documents from
the Ricoh device into the Livelink repository.
