Ricoh Aficio MP 161 and Duplex Prinitng

Hi,
I am encountering a problem with trying to print duplex pages from Fedora on two separate installations.
Configuration/s below.
I am trying to print via lpr -d printername -o sides=two-sided-long-edge and the result is always that the pages are printed on separate sheets of paper.
Configuration:
OS: Fedora 7 and Fedora Core 5
PPD-file: downloaded from linuxprinting.org (http://www.openprinting.org/foomatic-db/db/source/PPD/Ricoh/PXL/Ricoh-Aficio_MP_161_PXL.ppd)
- printing via CUPS
- printer installation via CUPS web GUI
Can you help me troubleshoot this and/or point me to what I need to do to configure this correctly?
What are the settings on the printer itself s]that I need to change make(the documentation seems to be not conclusive for Linux printing).
Thank you so much for your help!

It seems the MP161 does NOT understand the lp option "sides=two-sided-long-edge".
The option "Duplex=DuplexNoTumble" seems to work fine.....
Can anyone confirm this?
Is this a driver/PPD issue? Can this be fixed somehow that the MP 161 understands this command?
Thanks again

There's caused by a foomatic-rip bug, which was fixed recently (late December 07 or early Jan 08)
Alternatively, you could re-download the PPD files, which provide a workaround for the foomatic-rip bug (updated early Dec 07)
Either approach should have fixed the problem

Thanks Uli, George,
I will have to check what date the PPD is from but I thought is was relatively recent...
I will report back with the results.
