soory I had to post the video, it's sweet, you'll need a premium membership to download, but the good thing is that you get to download and upload all of the other good stuff for a year!!!!

Premium Members, thoughts?? I prepared the customer telling him that the system will need to have the consumables replaced at shorter intervals, will require more maintenance for dust, paper feed tires, etc..however the only other solution for him was PB for $14.

What are they doing with them after printing? If they are just mailing them looks good but if they are going to run them through another printer you will have trouble.

This particluar solution is just for mailing. But this question opens up a good question, for those of you that sell the oki envelope press and or the xante (which is the oki engine), there is no offset when your run the oki envelope through another laser printer again, right.

Of course if you were using an ink jet print there would be no offset.

The speed and the fact that I had tested this system prior with a commerical envelope feeder. Keep in mind that I prepared the customer in adavance that there are pro's and cons, the cons is the fact that nore maintenance and earlier replacement of consumables(other than toner) would be required.

Art, how is this system doing now that it has been in place for 90 days? Do you think it is a viable envelope solution? And how has the servicing been on it?

This thing is a rich box. I have seen it in person. Why does ricoh not sell a version of this?

Ricoh has there head up there ass, however you can buy the envelope feeder and the conveyor yourself and make your own.

Not one problem, I was there about 30 days ago and they had printed 30,000 envelopes without an issue. The key is to have all of the print settings configured for envelopes.

This is somewhat off topic, but consider your ability to find clients with unique printing needs you need to make sure your comp has an aftermarket component to it, specifically centered around growth. Those envelopes are probably very profitable clicks due to low page coverage, and you need to be compensated as such. Email me if you would like to know how my company finally started making this lucrative.

I don't know if I would say these clicks are extra profitable. What you don't use in toner you probably use in extra fuser wear and tear with envelopes.

We'll have to see about the extra fuser wear, I don't think it will be an issue but you never know.
