Labels have been ok in copiers for years, as long as they buy the labels that are recommended for copiers.

Some manufacturers even go as far as recommending a certain product number and manufacturer.

Whenever a customer talks about labels, I make sure that I tell them that if a label gets stuck on the drum or anywhere else, it's gonna being a service call and or consumable that they will have to pay for.

Hope this helps!
Label are fine, as Art said. You just have to put in the required paper weights into the paper tray settings. Keep in mind that these are considered "convience prints", so they are supposed to be 10% or less of the total volume of prints. If they go over that, you might need to factor extra wear and tear on the MFP contract, as labels and other very heavy paper wear MFPs out faster.
Yes, you can do them. That being said, we try to avoid them. If they print whole sheets they'll probably be fine. But most people want to print a few, peel them off then send it back through again.

The manuals and our service team state paper with glue or adhesive is outside of specifications.

Envelopes and labels belong on inkjet printers in my opinion. You can whittle with your good kitchen carving knife too, just don't plan on carving the Thanksgiving turkey with it. The right tool for the right job.
