On a Gestetner DSc525 with the Fax option, this customer called me a month ago with the complaint that faxes being received from (mostly) a particular customer of theirs were being received oriented 90 degrees off and reduced. In other words they were printed Letter direction on Letter-R paper. Or visa-versa, hard to tell.
So I went to UT>Syst Set> Paper tray Priority>Fax> Tray 2. Tray 2 is Letter-R direction.(Tray 1 is letter only on this model.)
Feeling confident I left.
2 weeks ago, she called me with the same complaint. After confirming the symptoms, I made the following changes:
User parameter switch 15 bit 0, 1, and 2 to 010 to select tray 2.
User parameter switch 15 bit 5 to 1 to allow tray selection
System switch 02 bit 0 to 1 so tray 1 cannot be used. and bit 1 to 0 so tray 2 can be used.
Today she called with the same complaint.
She called the "offender" and said he is using a regular G3 fax, not a computer, and sends it all in the "short" or letter-R direction. He then sent two pages to her while I was on the phone and one was OK and the other was disoriented 90 degrees and reduced.
At first I just thought she was in love with me and liked to have me come out there but now I am thinking I must be missing a setting. I coulndt find one for auto rotation. And even then why would one be OK and the second page be wrong?
Pleeze help me!
