RDX, a Pittsburgh-based provider of managed IT services, will acquire and merge with a provider of managed cloud services.

According to a press release, Navisite LLC will merge with RDX as part of a deal between the two companies and Connecticut-based Charter Communications, Inc. As part of the deal, RDX will own and operate Navisite's assets, including client relationships, employees, fixed assets, leases and Navisite-operated facilities.

Navisite was formerly owned by Spectrum.

The transaction is expected to close within the next few weeks. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

RDX was founded in 1994 and is one of the largest independent providers of database infrastructure, data management and cloud management services in the country. The company supports cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
