- Universal Print is a Microsoft 365 subscription-based service
- Business premium subscriptions include 100 print jobs per licensed user per month
- F3 licenses are limited to 5 print jobs per license
o Extra print jobs can be purchased in packs of 500 or 10,000 - Print jobs are pooled, based on aggregate number of jobs allowed across all users
- Requires Universal Print-compatible printers and MFPs
- Portal simplifies printer deployment, management and access control
- Integrated with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory)
- Supports single sign-on (SSO)
- Can be deployed with non-compatible devices with Universal Print connector software
- Use of print support apps (PSAs) and Mopria standard support enables devices to have custom features without need for custom print drivers
- In future, users will no longer need to have access to 3rd party drivers and roll them out to all clients
- Security certifications include; FedRamp, GDPR, HITRUST, ISO 27017, ISO 27001/2 and ISO 27018
