The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, has installed two new Konica Minolta bizhub Presses – the 1052 and C1085 – from Konica Minolta Canada. The PSAC has 23 regional offices across Canada and represents more than 170,000 workers in every province and territory – as well as in locations around the world. Its members work for federal government departments and agencies, crown corporations, universities, casinos, community services agencies, Aboriginal communities, airports, and the security sector, among others. The new presses will be used to print various items and for improved internal communications, as well as in the printing of everything from business cards, newsletters and special reports, to perfect-bound books.
Konica Minolta’s bizhub Press 1052 digital is a fast, powerful press capable of handling high-volume production demands at 105 pages per minute in high-resolution B&W, with a 2,000,000-page monthly duty cycle, plus real-time image density and toner ratio sensors to maintain image stability over long press runs.
Konica Minolta’s bizhub Press C1085 digital will increase the output capabilities, colour quality and cost-efficiency for the PSAC – delivering up to 85 pages per minute in full colour, simplifying production set-up, accepting a wider range of paper stocks, and offering several professional quality finishing options.
