My customer has a 5mb PowerPoint and after sending it to the MFP (ricoh 3260) if you watch the print spooler on the pc it creates something like a 50mb file that will not print???
I want to get a better picture of the problem. Since it hasn't been asked, I take this is an internal controller not external. You didn't say you tried the PS driver, so they don't has PS installed. I think I would reset the ncs, and printer in SP5801. I would also reflash the copiers firmware. Does it do the same if you eliminate the customers network by print the same file from a laptop and crossover cable? If you carry the file to another machine does it do the same as the current location? Sorry I was on a roll, didn't mean to make this such a long response.
Thanks for everyone's feedback but i did resolve the problem. PowerPoint's and other Office applications that contain alot of pasted in images will often get decompressed when spooling and create a very large spool file and usually the MFP's print them at or almost at rated speed. My problem was ultimately with a network port speed mismatch. Again thanks to everyone.
