Is anyone familiar with RFMS software?

It is used by flooring and tile companies to create designs for tile placement in commercial projects. Similar to Autocad.

Problem I am having is that the designs have multiple layers and when printing a drawing with multiple layers they set the shading to 30% so that the layer underneath will show alphanumeric info through the colors in the layer above. Well, when printing that, it mixes everything together and nothing is legible.

I have tried a PCL driver (current), a PS driver and the Canon UFII driver.

When the shading is set to higher level the prints come out great except there is no layer with alphanumeric info.

Any help is appreciated.

John,

You could try setting up a separate Printer using a basic or even Universal HP Print Driver and point it to the Canon. I have done it before using an HP PCL Driver and it allowed me to print from applications that Just would not print using the Canon Driver. As long as you don't ask it to do any advanced functions the PCL code will be understood. At least it has been on the larger Canon MFDs I don't do too many of the smaller CDW printers. Good Luck!
