Print Data Conversion Software Translates to Industry Standards
RAMSEY , N.J. —February 8, 2006—Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. has unveiled LinkCom III from MPI Tech. The software converts IPDS and SCS/DCA print data streams to PCL or PostScript language.
It is said to work within the mixed host/LAN environment, supporting both SNA sessions from IBM systems, as well as TCP/IP sessions from the LAN. The software also supports Internet Printing Protocol (IPP), for printing across the Internet to an authorized printer connected to the IP network.
LinkCom III attaches to the Ethernet port of the printer and to the LAN. The software comes standard with the ability to redirect one output to a network-connected printer. The redirection of three outputs to a network via TCP/IP is optional.
“We now have the ability to capture the workflow from IBM’s enterprise computing technology and support it with our high-speed monochrome and color multifunctional devices,” said Kevin P. Kern, vice president, product planning and development.
Manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing starts $720.
