The first US-based PDF/A Archiving seminar will be held 8 AM - 11:45 AM on September 15 at McCormick Place as part of the Print 09 educational series. This half-day event is hosted by the PDF/A Competence Center (www.pdfa.org) and AIIM (www.aiim.org). The morning seminar will provide a full tutorial on the PDF/A ISO standard, with sessions by Adobe and The US District Courts, who will provide an overview on their usage and implementation.
“At Print09 there will be a lot of talk about PDF for traditional and variable print, but a document’s lifecycle doesn’t end with print,” says Mark Maragni, Vice President of Sales for Compart North America and the new Chairman of the North American Chapter of the PDF/A Competence Center. “This intensive morning session will give the print professional an overview of the emerging standard and provide a view of the next steps in the document lifecycle from PDF standards perspective.”
The session will be held in North Building, Level 1, Room N129. For more details and to register, visit http://www.aiim.org/standards/article.aspx?ID=37092. The $125 registration fee includes the reference guide, PDF/A in a Nutshell, and breakfast.
