Richard "Dick" G. Poorman, 71, of Cable Hollow Road, Russell, Pa., passed away on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at his residence, with his wife, Bobbi Jean at his side, whom loved and cared for him throughout his illness.

Mr. Poorman was born July 17, 1939, in Oil City, the son of the late Eugene and Nellie Poorman. He was baptized in the Metho-dist Church in Oil City, Pa.

Dick was owner and operator of several businesses. He began his entrepreneurial endeavors with Warren Copier Service, at 230 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren, Pa., in 1978 by selling two snowmobiles for an Apeco copier. His hard work and perseverance soon brought him to acquire The Copy Shop in 1983. Dick was proud that over the years he provided employment for a number of people throughout Warren, as his business thrived. Previous to his own businesses, Dick gained experience as a service manager for Graham Copy Company, Jamestown, N.Y.

Dick was a social member of the Sheffield Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Eagles Club 313 of Warren. For 13 years, he and his wife enjoyed boating on their cruiser, "Catchin' One" at Onoville Marina, Lake Chautauqua, and Lake Erie.

Dick enjoyed teaching his eight step-grandchildren to swim in the pool. His many other interests included hunting, fishing, playing the organ, going to Bluegrass festivals and taking care of his home. Through the years, he and his wife traveled extensively within the U.S. from East to West Coast.

He is survived by, his wife Barbara ''Bobbi Jean'' Poorman, whom he married on April 9, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev., with with more than 30 years of companionship; a son, Douglas Craday, Warren; two daughters: Debra Kinal and her husband Sean, Westfield, N.Y., and Denise Johnson, Clymer, N.Y.; eight step-grandchildren, Meagan, Kayce, and Shane Craday, Sarah Johnson Babcock and her husband Nate, Shelly Johnson Kruger and her husband Willy, Ryan Kinal, Cory Kinal, and Leah Kinal Meleen and her husband Nathan; and four great-step-grandchildren.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 from 10 a.m. till noon, a funeral service will be held there at noon, with the Rev. Jon Swart, pastor, Cable Hollow Community Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Clendening Cemetery.
