Park Department to save money on copier

A new office equipment lease will save the Crawfordsville Park Department hundreds of dollars a year and provide a copier and printer that will better meet the staff's needs, said Brad Case, Crawfordsville, who sells equipment for Ikon.
The parks department is currently paying $340 per month for a color printer that is usually used for black and white printing jobs.
By switching to a new black and white copier and putting a color printer at the front desk, the new five-year lease will drop from $340 per month to $304 per month, Case said.
The new contract will include ink and toner, parts and labor.
About 12,000 copies are printed each month, Director Roger Neal said.
A final decision is expected to be made at the board's March meeting.
