Panasonic Unveils New Workgroup Document Scanners

NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Panasonic, a provider of industry leading document management and imaging solutions, announced today its new KV-S1057C and KV-S1027C workgroup document scanners. The scanners’ small footprint design allows it to conveniently fit into small spaces, such as counter tops in reception areas of a bank or hospital. The new models deliver improved scanning speeds and new paper feed mechanisms offering fast, reliable scanning of not only paper documents but additional items such as embossed ID cards or passports. This enables customers to scan their own documents quickly enabling real-time information sharing to help provide fast and accurate service.

The new KV-S1057C and KV-S1027C scanners include additional new       features, such as:    

• High-Speed, High-Volume Duplex Scanning: Up to100 sheets can easily and quickly be loaded and processed.      
• Reliable Paper Feed Mechanism: The active double feed roller         mechanism and long-life rollers are designed to improve feeding—even with mixed documents of varying weight or thickness. The gate mechanism ensures paper loaded into the feeder is straight and aligned to prevent paper jams or the loss of originals.      
• Various Document and Card Scanning: Efficiently scans various         documents such as passports, embossed cards (up to three), envelopes,  mixed paper and long paper items such as electrocardiograms or well logs.      
• 100 Programmable Workflows: Through the PC client, users can         program up to 100 commonly used scan jobs. These settings can then be easily accessed and selected using the scanners control panel.      
• Intelligent Double-Feed Detection: No need to duplicate efforts       or stop jobs due to double feeds from a document with a post-it note or receipt detected. Easily resume scanning from the point of detection at the push of a button.
