Full Review
Our company ordered 13 of the black and white eStudio 452 units and 1 color eStudio 451c.

The machines were brand new and we have had them for about 3 months now.

Thankfully the company we received them from have next day service.

Even with training these machines jam too much!!!
For the scale of machines these are the paper tray should auto detect paper size and orientation.

Say you put a 8X10 regular paper on the glass in portrait mode. Unless the machine is setup to do it it will not flip the page around. There is a setting for it buried somewhere deep.

If you put legal in a drawer you have to tell the machine or it will jam! Why it will not auto detect blows me away.
Not having had extensive experience and limited by choice due to other circumstances has us stuck with these machines for 3 years!

The top feeders jam often too.

The email and scanning functionality is not very easy.

UPDATE 10-18-06:
The scanning functions after figuring out are not bad. The machine came with no OCR software so had to make a seperate purchase for this.

The Email and efiling functions are still a mystery...

Did I Mention the menus are not intuitive at all on these machines?

I had a Konica demo unit which I was able to figure out how to email from in 30 minutes.
I am having their network person come out to set these up for me still. But I have figured out other copiers with ease, these units don’t even let you setup a POP3 email account and just email from.

On the plus side when they work they work fine.
Although they are not the fastest machines I have seen.
I will have to stay within the Toshiba family but IM looking to upgrade a few of the machines to larger units to resolve some of the issues.

There is no monitoring client for me to look at all the copiers at once. I have to go to each copier one by one and enter the IP address in the browser to see if they are all ok.

I wish we could have afforded Xerox!!!
