I was at a preview of this new MFP from OKI (the printer compnay). OKi told us that HP has failed with thier current MFP strategy and they are going to sign a "select" 100 dealers across the nation for their new product line.
I sae the new ES3640 in their lab. Color qiality was excellent at 1200 x 1200 dpi and four bit color. The unit comes with a single pass duplex color scanner, Scan2Network, Scan2eamil, Scan2folder 1 GB of RAM, 20GB HD, and Fiery, plus Network scan2fax through Zetafax, PSII. These are all standard features!
They also have a graphic arts version that incorporates additional Fiery features.
The unit will print 36 ppm in color and 40 ppm in black & white. Will also take #110 through the paper drawers and #140 though the by-pass.
Consumbale parts are all changed by the end user, drums, toner, developer and fuser. CPC's are low, delaer color around .05 and black around .006, not to mention that OKI is going to give the dealer a 3 year warranty!

Seems like they want our business! I have heard onbly ggod things about OKI, I will keep you all informed as I get more info.
