Oki Data OKI C7300n Number One in PC World's Top Ten Color Printer List
Mount Laurel, NJ -- March 5, 2003 -- The OKI C7300n has made its debut on PC World's Top Ten Color Printer list as the number one printer and "Best Buy."
Selected by the editors of PC World magazine, the recently launched C7300n was lauded for its speed, text quality, and low price. Also debuting on the Top Ten Color Printer list was the OKI C9500dxn. Both single pass printers were launched in late 2002.
PC World attributed the printers' rankings to speed and price. All OKI C-Series printers feature Oki Data's Single Pass Color Digital Technology, which applies colors in one pass with four in-line digital LED print heads and image drums. This technology increases print speed dramatically. PC World suggests how the printers' speed, price and text quality present a strong argument for purchase by busy offices that need highly productive color solutions.
The OKI C7300n has "impressive speed: The C7300n printed text at 16.9 ppm - 3 ppm faster than the average - and it printed graphics at 5.5 ppm, which is quicker than any other printer we've seen lately," PC World stated. The editors also lauded the C7300n price, saying, "The unit's $2,179 price tag is extremely reasonable compared with the prices of similarly equipped color office printers."
The OKI C9500ndx was also ranked in the Top 10. The C9500dxn was praised for "superior swiftness and fine text." PC World editors were also impressed with the wide-array of standard features in the C9500dxn model, including the 320MB of memory, a duplexer, and a 10GB hard drive.
"We are very honored and excited to have two of our newly launched color printers on PC World's Top Ten Color Printers list," said Keith Shaw, director of marketing, Oki Data. "It is truly phenomenal to have the C7300n debut at the number one position, as an OKI printer has now held the top position on this list for over a year. We've specifically designed this printer to excel in performance, reliability, and print quality, and we are pleased that PC World recognizes our innovation."
PC World assigns overall rating for color printers based on print quality (25%), price (25%), features (15%), ease of use (15%), speed (10%), and service and support (10%). The data is based on tests designed and conducted by the PC World Test Center.
