Northern Ireland's largest independent hotel chain, the Hastings Group, has signed a deal for a managed print service from OKI in partnership with Belfast-based partner EOS Systems.
Oki says the deal will shave 30% off the hotel group's printing costs.
Oki's area manager in Northern Ireland, Seamus Mullan, said putting the a service in place involved identifying the most suitable and efficient energy saving printing technologies and renewing most of the group's printers to reduce down time.
Mullan notes that the benefits of a managed print service allied with modern technology include lower energy bills and fixed and transparent quarterly charge over three years.
The hotel group's MD, Howard Hastings, said: "I was surprised to learn that
our business was producing a costly 1.5 million prints a year, so I'm delighted
that EOS Systems and OKI have helped us make such huge savings."
He noted
that previously staff at the six hotels and head office had to monitor toner
usage to ensure it never ran out. "This is now monitored remotely and new toner
is delivered automatically by OKI."
