Océ South Africa, a leader in digital document management and delivery, announces the arrival of the ideal solution for computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information system (GIS) environments with its latest wide-format print solution, the Canon iPF765. With its space-saving design, user-friendly front access, flat stacker basket and “hot swap” ink tanks, the iPF765 offers exceptional quality and accuracy. It is designed with cost management and return on investment (ROI) in mind, both of which can be tracked through the built-in accounting function.
Chris Paulet, product manager, WFPS at Océ South Africa, highlights the strengths of this new wide-format print solution: “The iPF765 is an A0 printer, which delivers class-leading productivity, exceptional quality, accuracy and an advanced set of features to ensure an excellent return on investment.”
Designed for usability
The iPF765 is a powerful print solution designed to meet the demands of medium-sized to large work groups. With incredible line accuracy, a 250GB hard drive, and support for HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL files, it is an ideal solution for any professional with a need for printing complex renderings, CAD drawings, GIS maps and other large-format graphics.
A slim design and full front operation means users can install the printer anywhere – even flush against a wall to save valuable office space.
The integrated basket can neatly stack A1 and A2 plain paper prints and includes a handy print timer to inform you how long a job will take to complete.
High productivity
Productivity is maintained in networked environments thanks to the Media Mismatch function. When a job is sent to print with a different media to that which is loaded, the user is informed and given the option to cancel it, print it anyway, or change the media. In the meantime, the iPF765 prints other jobs in the queue.
“Hot-swap” ink tanks allow ink cartridges to be replaced during printing for maximum productivity.
Economical and efficient
A built-in accounting function allows tracking of the cost per print, enabling users to view the data through the printer driver. Economy mode can be selected, which uses less ink – ideal when printing draft documents.
Exceptional quality and accuracy
Canon’s five-colour dye-and-pigment ink system produces vivid colours and the sharpest, thinnest lines. With an accuracy of +/- 0.1% and a minimum line width of 0.02mm, precision is guaranteed. Images are rendered at 2 400 x 1 200 dpi for maximum impact from super-fine print heads using 15 360 nozzles.
Built for demanding workflows
The iPF765 is HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL compatible, including palette and pen settings. As well as Optimised Driver for AutoCAD and for Microsoft Office users, there is a plug-in to print in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Increased robust security
With increased security by improving administrative functionality on the user interface, unauthorised use of the printer and information leaks are minimised through restricted access and supporting print log management in network environments, making the iPF765 an ideal solution for large corporations.
As a space-saving, user-friendly and high-capacity machine delivering quality results and a fast return on investment, the iPF765 offers significant benefits in all CAD and GIS environments.
