Venlo, The Netherlands, 7 September 2010 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that it will add the innovative Canon imageRUNNER® ADVANCE 8000 series of all-in-one black & white production printers to its expanding cutsheet portfolio.
This is the second Canon production product that Océ has offered since joining the global Canon group in March 2010. The newly combined company, which aims to create the world’s largest printing company, combines a 133-year Océ heritage of leadership in small and wide format printing with the vast technical resources of Canon.
Enabling customers to respond to changing conditions

environments seek technology solutions to help them quickly respond to changing
business conditions and meet a wide range of customer requirements, the Canon

Sustainability top of mind
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8000 series
combines innovative technology with eco-friendly construction that includes
bio-plastic components and recycled materials. The system is offered in three
models - the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8085, 8095 and 8105 models, which print, copy
and scan up to 85, 95 and 105 images per minute respectively.
Addressing crucial customer requirements
The systems address the
growing digital production needs of a wide array of light to mid-production
users in copy centers, in-house printrooms and quick print shops. For even more
flexibility, Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8000 series production printers can be
configured with an embedded proprietary controller with genuine Adobe®
PostScript® 3 and PCL 5e/6 support or an external, market-standard Fiery-based
controller that integrates smoothly into existing workflows and can be easily
clustered with other devices.
Advances possibilities for print professionals
To take
multifunction printing and copying performance to advanced levels and enable
immediate productivity, the systems fit harmoniously into nearly any work
environment. Full integration with Océ PRISMA® workflow software enables print
professionals to harness the full power of their production printers and achieve
unmatched workflow simplicity, while making it easier for customers to do
business with them.
Print providers can produce a wide range of jobs on a variety of media, with weights from 14 lb. bond to 140 lb. index (52 to 256 gsm) and sizes up to 13 x 19.2 inches (330.2 mm x 487.7 mm). The system can be equipped with a professional punch unit, staple finisher, saddle stitcher or folding unit to support virtually any print job.
Advanced toner, developer and media-handling technologies, together with 1,200 dpi resolution, deliver excellent image quality.
