At a recent local business expo I ran into a rep who used to work for me at Oce' and he was telling me that other than the Oce' manufactured products that they will only be relabeling Konica Minolta product. Seems they are dropping both Toshiba and Sharp. Anyone else out they hear anything similar and is this a lead in to the two companys merging?

I'm seeing the same thing regarding Oce's use of Konica Minolta systems. Each of the new VarioLink models are relabeled KM machines and Oce already has relabeled versions of Konica's forthcoming bizhub C360 series listed on the energystar database.

Oce hasn't launched a Sharp-made MFP since 2007 and has not added a Toshiba-made MFP since 2006 (last CLR model in 2005).

I'm not sure Konica is planning to acquire Oce though. They are STILL sorting out the Konica and Minolta merger and seem to be getting what they need from Oce's OEM'd production systems. That said, Konica Minolta is targeting production as part of its growth strategy so who knows. Also, these rumors keep popping up so they have get started somewhere.
Agreed on that; I'm direct KM rep and your point on the production print is right on. We've spent the better part of the summer on training in the production print arena and Print '09 booth was one of the busiest at the show, plus all, and I mean ALL of the top dogs were there putting on the ritz.
I don't think a merge would happen in the near future though; this last April we merged a number of the KM owned entities, like Danka, Albin and Hughes Callahan into KMBS and it's going to take a year or two to get everything in line there. That being said, Oce' is hurting more than most out there and if the price is right.....

The rumor at Print 09 is that Oce' is for sale. Can anyone confirm or deny it with written proof?
