I heard from what I consider a reliable source that Nuance \ eCopy is changing their distribution model, from a direct relationship with the Dealers to a distribution channel (more like the way HP does it).

Not sure if this is a good thing or not. eCopy use to have the best technical support when they were a Canon exclusive product. Then they opened it up to all MFDs and their support declined significantly. The Nuance bought them, and they don't seem to have any idea on how to support the dealer network. Nuance is just as bad at supporting the End User community. I have heard from two different large law firms that like the eCopy \ Nuance but hate their (lack of) support. So we fill that need. But when we as a Dealer need support Nuance has no idea how to support dealers.

If this Rumor is true, and I am told that we will all hear the announcement shortly, then what it will come down to for me is which distributor has the best technical support for the Dealer.

Unfortunately NSI is not available on Canon's in the USA. They do work with Canon's in Europe, so they CAN work with Canon's but someone at Canon USA has made a "marketing decision" NOT to allow them access to the USA market. I do hate when the MFD manufacturer tries to over regulate the solutions that they want to work with their smart MFDs.

With the release of UniFLOW's Advance Scanning module we feel that it will fill a lot of the space. I will say that we still need eCopy SSOP and their extensive list of connectors (250+).
