I'm wondering if RPCS is only overseas now. I could swear it hasn't been available in the states for the past several generations. Instead they incorporated the RPCS features such as preset jobs into their rather unstable PCL6 driver.
right no RPCS driver for years in the US, I agree they did away with a great driver.
I'm also thinking there is an optional folding unit on this, this came up when I went to the site and did a bing translate.

When I was the Solutions Manager at RBS-Boston I demo'd and installed the RPCS driver. I loved the feature set it was great to demo, but we were told by corporate tech support to only install them directly. They told us this after we had installed the RPCS driver on a customer's server and all of the cool icons kept disappearing from the RPCS Driver.
You mentioned that Ricoh incorporated the RPCS features into the Ricoh's PCL driver but it is unstable. What are you seeing that tells you it is unstable?

The new PCL6 driver is a nightmare. Total pain in the arse.
I don't totally remember, because we stopped installing it over a year ago. I just remember getting constant complaints about it for various reasons, so we just stopped installing it altogether.
Any news on the exact date of the new pro color series, it's almost a month behind schedule!
Anything specific about these print drivers that doesn't work so well? My experience is that the Ricoh drivers have always been a little bit quirky, but the majority of the time they operate as expected. Biggest issues I have found is the conflict between driver settings and machine settings, but will usually produce an error on OP panel.
Can order the new Pro c5100s series today, will not ship until mid July.
