Based on how they've handled the transition of legacy DocStar customers to their new platform I don't think I'd ever recommend DocStar again.  I've got customers who've paid thousands and thousands of dollars for SoftCare over the years which is supposed to entitle them to software updates being told they will now have to spend a boatload of money to convert their data for their latest version.  Puts me in a very bad position with a couple of customers to no fault of my own and it really leaves a bad taste.
