Canon USA this week introduced a new multimedia projector targeted at the education and small business user. Available in August, the LV-7275 will be priced at a "highly affordable" $999, Canon says, and will be promoted as user-friendly.
The LV-7275 projects at a native XGA (1024 by 768) resolution with an aspect ratio of 4:3 and offers 2,600 lumens of brightness.
It also features a High-bandwidth Digital Copy Protection (HDCP)-compliant DVI-I interface, so it's compatible with cable boxes, DVD and Blu-ray Disc players along with S-Video and composite video; Ethernet network connectivity; Whiteboard and Greenboard modes, which color-correct for white or green backgrounds; automatic keystone adjustment, a 29dB "quiet mode"; a 1.2x zoom lens; and five presentation modes.
