SECAUCUS, NJ February 1, 2010 — Panasonic Systems Networks Company of America (PSNA) today announced the release of the KV-S1045C, an affordable high-output, 80ipm1 full-duplex, full-color document scanner optimized for high-volume front-office deployment in vertical markets such as health care, insurance, transportation, government and financial services. The KV-S1045C provides today’s office with a decentralized workhorse solution.
Combining Panasonic's legendary reputation for reliability with proprietary Auto Image Detection and Correction technology, the KV-S1045C continues Panasonic's "Scan-It-All" tradition by supporting mixed batch scanning of documents ranging in thickness from 11 to 55 pounds simultaneously with single hard cards, stacked hard cards and/or embossed hard cards. An optional seven-pound flatbed module, the KV-SS080, provides additional flexibility and cost-savings by allowing two-page spreads, bound volumes, multiple small objects and other odd or over-sized documents to be scanned using the KV-S1045C's image processing circuitry and network connection.
Featuring Panasonic's Automatic Image Detection and Correction System, the KV-S1045C eliminates the need for operators to manually sift through document stacks and reorient pages by electronically identifying the direction of the text in scanned documents and rotating the images into proper orientation before storing them on the computer or server.
Other advanced features of the KV-S1045C include Panasonic's next-gen
proprietary double-feed prevention roller and ultrasonic double-feed detection
technology, Advanced Image Enhancement Technology for real-time contrast
monitoring and optimization, automatic color/monochrome distinction, background
smoothing, color dropout, continuous scanning of card stock, flat plastic or
embossed hard cards and an integrated exit
tray.
"The KV-S1045C is a direct response to user requests for a faster, higher-capacity scanner that incorporates the imaging excellence, advanced feature set, and extended maintenance intervals of our Better Buys for Business and AIM award-winning KV-S1025C," Product Manager Bob Curci said. "With maximum capture speeds of 40ppm and 80ipm1 in both color and monochrome, the KV-S1045C is 35 percent faster than the KV-S1025C. It also holds 50 percent more documents and delivers all this additional performance while maintaining the KV-S1025C's compact, 8.6" x 12.5" ' x 7.2" footprint and under-10lb. weight."
The KV-S1045c’s 93-page ADF works in conjunction with the unit’s integrated hard-card tray and our bundled capture software which leverages Panasonic’s Image Enhancement Technology so operators can easily capture, integrate and store an almost unlimited universe of documents and ID cards. A variety of file formats are supported including BMP, JPG, PDF and TIF.
Panasonic’s KV-S1045C has an MSRP of $1295.00
