We are pleased to inform you that a new global advertising campaign started today with a gatefold advertisement in Fortune Magazine's July 23rd issue.
The campaign is managed by Ricoh Tokyo with the input and assistance of each regional headquarters location. Its main objective is to promote the Ricoh brand in key global markets, which include the U.S.A., UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Japan.
The key message of the campaign is that Ricoh can serve customers on a global basis with our document management solution capabilities through our comprehensive global network. To support this message, the campaign re-introduces a familiar slogan, "Create, Share and Think as One." This means that Ricoh is committed to supporting, creating and sharing customer information globally. When we collaborate globally, we are truly "Thinking as One" in terms of ideas, knowledge, and vision.
To visualize this concept, a TV commercial called "The Sun" was created. Moving through 4 different countries, it is the story of a document's journey and development as it travels around the globe. Beginning with a junior executive in Tokyo, who at the end of the day is asked by his boss to complete a report by the next morning, the report is sent to Mumbai, India, where it is worked on all day and then forwarded to Paris, France. The document's journey then continues to New York as the sun sets in each location. Ultimately the completed report makes its way back to Tokyo the next morning. The junior executive hands the finished report to his amazed boss, and the young man is noticeably proud of his accomplishment.
With the assistance of Ricoh's global document management offerings, people are able to collaborate all over the world.
The campaign will start running on CNN Headline News beginning July 23. Then, starting in September, it will be run on CNN's main channel. In addition to cable TV, there will be a print advertising campaign in Forbes, Fortune, and Time Magazine, and Ricoh Company, Ltd. will update the front page of their global website to coincide with the campaign.
