Below are some features that Sharp offer on their MFP's. Thought it would help you in the field.
-New line has built in RED (Remote Email Diagnostics) that will send meter reads automatically(similar to @remote)
-Incoming faxes can be set up to automatically staple
-60ppm and faster will duplex 110 out of trays
-devices have a "Smart Bypass" that you can staple and duplex from
-PS Drivers have the same layout as a PCL
-Has a printer feature called "Carbon Copy"- you can have a one page file and you can set it up to pull one page from multiple trays
-Fax is an option on new 60 and 70 ppm models, they have no HV over 70 ppm
-Dual Scanning Document Feeders on 35ppm and up (We have it on 2051 series)
- Tandem print from any printer, no software required
-Sharp Desk (our Desktop Binder) has 10 seats included with OCR (Omni page built in). You can purchase Omni Page at Office Max but if cost $150.00 per client
-Sharp Desk will also allow them export a file to PDF (we use Desktop Binder Pro but have to pay per seat)
-Internal finishers on Low end will Staple and hole punch
-Will only manufacture B2C product going forward
-Consumables (CMY) are interchangeable between B2C line
-Finishers are also interchangeable
-Will scan to email, FTP, Desktop, Network folder, G3 Fax, Internet fax, USB
-can plug keyboard into USB for customers that feel the panel is too small to navigate on
-Firmware updates can be achieved through USB
-Can define page limits on user codes
-All product guides are built into the Web page
I received this from my support person at Ricoh, I am not sure how accurate all of the info is. However you can supply your customers with E-Copy desktop to build a better solution than the Sharp. E-Cpy desktop will give you OCR, page integration for document build and can save the final document as a PDF. E-Copy Desktop is very powerful!
